We’re looking for endpoint administrators to take our new Exam MD-102: Endpoint Administrator, currently in beta. If you have subject matter expertise in deploying, configuring, protecting, managing, and monitoring devices and client applications in a Microsoft 365 environment, be sure to check it out.
On July 1, 2023, we’re renaming the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification to Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate. The updated certification name better reflects the focus for professionals in this role, since the term endpoint more accurately characterizes the range of applicable devices used in solutions they manage. The associate level remains the same.
If you’ve already earned the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification, do not take this beta exam. Your Modern Desktop Administrator Associate certification will be renamed the Endpoint Administrator Associate certification when it becomes available.
We’re also consolidating the two required exams into one, for a more streamlined path to certification. Exam MD-102 will replace Exam MD-100: Windows Client and Exam MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops (both retiring in July 2023). To learn more, read Evolving Microsoft 365 certifications help keep you in sync with the new era of work.
Is this certification right for you?
Endpoint administrators collaborate with architects, Microsoft 365 administrators, security administrators, and other workload administrators to plan and implement a modern workplace strategy that meets the business needs of an organization. Candidates for this exam have experience with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) and Microsoft 365 technologies, including Intune. They must have in-depth skills and experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows client and non-Windows devices.
