Explore the latest Applied Skills scenarios

Microsoft Applied Skills credentials validate your ability to solve real-world problems by using Microsoft technologies. Earn an Applied Skills credential by passing an online lab-

based assessment for specific scenarios. The following new scenarios, focusing on in-demand skills with Microsoft Fabric, were released in March 2024:

  • Implement a data warehouse in Microsoft Fabric
  • Implement a lakehouse in Microsoft Fabric

Stay tuned for new Applied Skills scenarios

In the near future, we’ll release additional task-based scenarios that involve analytics with Microsoft Fabric, in addition to AI with Microsoft Copilot for Microsoft 365:

  • Build a real-time analytics solution with Microsoft Fabric
  • Implement a data science and machine learning solution with Microsoft Fabric
  • Prepare security and compliance to support Copilot for Microsoft 365

We’re continuously enhancing the security of our learning offerings. Due to this maintenance, some of the Microsoft Applied Skills assessment labs will be unavailable at different times during the next three months. If an assessment is impacted, you’ll see a message on the corresponding page indicating the assessment is unavailable.

You can come back to the Credential page to review the assessment status, while also exploring more training options available on Microsoft Learn.

The Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate certification validates your skills and expertise in working with Microsoft Fabric, an all-in-one analytics solution for enterprises that covers everything from data movement to data science, real-time analytics, and business intelligence. To earn this certification, pass Exam DP-600: Implementing Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric, which is now live and out of beta.
