Happy new year!

We are excited to share that TweetMeets – Twitter chats for educators – are back, starting this Tuesday, January 18 at 7am PST / 10am EST / 3pm GMT.

What are TweetMeets?

TweetMeets are monthly, global, multi-lingual Twitter chats around a specific topic relevant for educators. TweetMeets occur every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7am PST / 10am EST / 3pm GMT. They last one hour.

If these hours are less convenient for you, then please join the conversation at a later time that suits you best.

How can I participate in a TweetMeet?

The main account to follow is @TweetMeet, where we publish tips, challenges, and promotion resources.

At event time, the @TweetMeet account and our hosts will start publishing the five discussion questions 10 minutes apart. Everyone is welcome to participate in the conversation.

For more guidance, check the new introductory Sway at #TeamsEduChat TweetMeet Starter Guide.

What about TweetMeet hosts?

TweetMeets are hosted by experts on each month’s topic. They guide the conversation, engage with participants and provide their expertise. For the very special January event, more than 100 former hosts will join to celebrate the TweetMeet relaunch with us. Many former hosts are Equity and Inclusion specialists.

Discussion questions

This month, we’ll discuss these five questions related to Equity and Inclusion. Now is a good time to start preparing your answers:

  1. How important are Equity and Inclusion for teaching and learning, and why?
  2. What changes could organizations implement toward more Equity and Inclusion?
  3. How can equitable and inclusive classrooms impact the social-emotional well-being of your students?
  4. Where can educators go to find skills, knowledge and resources to equip their Equity and Inclusion toolbox?
  5. What improvements in Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Education would empower you and your students?

We make translations of the discussion questions available in English, Arabic and Spanish. You’re most welcome to participate in any language you like.
