Reading Progress is a free tool designed to support educators in creating personalized reading experiences that build confidence and reading fluency in their students. Built into Assignments in Teams, Reading Progress passages are easy to create and differentiate for impactful instruction. Reading Progress has now fully rolled out globally!
As mentioned in our blog in late August, the edtech nonprofit ReadWorks has collaborated with Microsoft to provide sample content reading passages for educators to use with Reading Progress in Microsoft Teams. This ReadWorks sample passage cover K-12, with a larger focus on K-6. There are close to 100 passages in total to use with Reading Progress. Out goal is to let educators get up and running as fast as possible to try out Reading Progress, and with these ReadWorks passages, any educator can get started within seconds.
To become successful readers, students need quality reading practice. Through its collaboration with Microsoft, ReadWorks has provided high-quality texts from its online library of over 4,600 passages, which will help teachers more frequently monitor their students’ reading in Teams. Reading Progress supports students’ fluency and reading-comprehension success around the world—an outcome that lies at the heart of ReadWorks’ mission.

This new sample content library is available in English, and will be finished with global rollout by September 15th, 2021
